The Sr Business Systems Analyst IV leads high-impact initiatives by gathering and translating complex business and technical requirements into actionable solutions. This role drives process improvement through workflow design, solution assessment, and validation, while ensuring alignment across all levels of stakeholders through clear documentation and effective communication. The Sr Business Systems Analyst IV plays a key role in delivering enterprise systems that meet strategic goals and enhance operational efficiency.
This role reports to the SVP of Transformation.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead interviews, workshops, and surveys with stakeholders to elicit business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Analyze and document current and future state processes.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for IT and business teams.
Process Mapping
• Map existing business processes and identify inefficiencies.
• Design optimized workflows and future-state processes.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities
Solution Assessment & Validation
• Evaluate potential solutions (software, process changes, integrations).
• Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs.
Documentation
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (requirements, process flows, test cases, training materials).
• Ensure traceability from requirements through to delivered solutions.
• Develop and oversee test plans and quality assurance (QA) strategies to validate system functionality.
Stakeholder Management
• Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and project teams.
• Facilitate communication and manage expectations with executive-level stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with sponsors, owners, and end users.
Development and Additional Responsibilities
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices through regular research and professional development.
• Develop and maintain relevant skills.
• Perform any other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in business/systems analysis, preferably in IT project management environments.
• Tools: Microsoft Project, Visio, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, Mural, Miro, and requirements management tools.
• Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis), Agile certifications.
